Daily budgetting

I think a common mistake with daily budgeting is to only include things that don't happen on a daily basis. So when you have to pay for a ferry crossing or for some bike parts your budget for that day is blown out the water. Better to have a slightly higher daily budget to account for surprises.

Surely one budget for subsistence and a separate one for transport and repairs ?
