we arrived at Dalaman yesterday morning at 0530 (0720 departure) the kids were starving & probably wouldnt eat the on board meal,so we plumped for McDonalds brekkie,3 x egg & bacon muffins,& a coffee..............£16.50!!!!!!!!!!! i would have told them to poke it but Mrs R was at the counter whilst i was waiting with the kids at the table. KFC was no better a bargain bucket or should that just be a bucket of chicken was about £40 !!!!!ive looked on the web & theres hundreds of complaints about Turkish airports.just be aware if you are travelling from there to stock up on some grub.

It seems to me that all airports are a rip off when it comes to selling food and drink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I paid 5.50 euros for a cheese baguette and 2.90 euros for a cup of instant coffee during a 10 hour delay at Samos airport on Thursday. That works out roughly at £7.

Good holiday though!

My sympathies gary...we were lucky enough to be forwarned about Dalaman airport when we were there a couple of years ago....its excruciatingly expensive there.
I guess they're much the same tho...we just came through Reus airport in Spain...£11 for a coke, two small bottles of water and three packets of sweets. In the UK, i'd expect to pay £4 for that.

So where is an airport with cheap food?

Guernsey was last time i was there, but then it only had a news agents and a very large tea room just across the road.

they've re-built it now.

Had a really nice fish, chips and Guinness in the departures lounge at Glasgow airport. Cant remember how much it was because it was on expenses, but I don't remember it being a rip off.
