Someone just subscribed to my [days old] YouTube channel. Turns out he's a dash cam video poster. I've not looked at all his stuff yet but it's pretty good. Check out these for example:

Nice to know that some motons genuinely have us cyclists in mind and are telling the world about it. I've subscribed back and liked all the above.

Not everyone who drives is a moton. In a NG I used to post in we used to make a distinction between 'motorists' and 'car operators'...

I think thats a fair point. In fact I personally dont like the term "moton" as its like "lycra lout", indescript and just derogatory in most cases.

Dashcams are becoming more popular. Theres a few good vids by Roadmonitoroz I think he's called on youtube. T1Sutton has been producing some good videos for a while now, seems pretty experienced and I personally wondered if they're an IAM member.

Andrewrobinhood used to produce some good videos, but was pushed off by the trolls.

I've been tempted to install a dashcam, mainly to prove my car is actually invisible to other drivers.

It was funny watching those videos, my head kept flicking round to check my mirrors and blind spots as he was driving!

As specific terms, there's nothing wrong with either of them. The issue is when used as generalisations, IMO.

I've used the camera in the car a couple of times but I soon realised that, whilst charging, setting up and deleting the blandness couldn't exactly be considered to be much of an effort, it was still more of an effort than it was worth.

Yes I know I'm replying to a very old thread, but thought I'd answer your question. :P

I am not an IAM member nor taken any advanced driving course or anything like that. Just did my driving test & passed my test once. Everything else I did was lead by expierence of my 10+ years drivings and common sense, knowing which is wrong and which is right.

As an added bonus, I rode 10 miles on my bike to work to see what other cyclists faced with the traffic so I can adjust my drivings based on it to ensure they are safe.

Hope this answers your question.

What your thread revival has brought up however, is what on earth has happened to Norm?
