Finally, 5 months after the frame failed, I've got Doris (mk2) back on the road. Thanks to all at Sigma Sport and Jim Walker for sorting out the warranty claim (even though the frame was 2 months out of warranty), and DeRosa for building me a new one off, even if it took 3 months to get it.

Wow, that is seriously pink!

I discovered yesterday that being a bloke on pink bike (mine is a Condor Accaio) is no bad thing as I had a pretty young woman come up to me at Marylebone station to tell me how much she loved the colour of bike, and how she thought it was great to see a man riding a pink bike. Something to do with my masculine confidence!!!!!!!

Unfortunately she was with her boyfriend so I decided not to get her phone number.

yikes, thats not too good at all. Did they say it was a problem they have seen before, or just bad luck on that particular frame. Good that its sorted and the very pink bike is back on the road :o)

No they didn't say anything, though I'd done a quick trawl on the net and found another identical frame failure. Need to register this one with their warranty site and keep a close eye on it.

Out of interest how long on average do you think a modern alu/carbon frame should last (years or miles)
