Maz, watch Dragon: the Bruce Lee story, it wavers a bit with some mythical sections but is co written by his widow Linda so is quite interesting as it charts his early years. Facts/Myth debate aside its a pretty good no brainer action movie too.
I remember watching snippets of this film when it was on TV some time ago. Definitely try and watch it again.

Grasshopper, when you can walk the rice paper without tearing it, THEN you may leave... me and my bro once covered the hall with bogroll as our rice paper... it just stuck to our feet. Mum was not best pleased!

As absolute sheer luck would have it, I was at the kid's school summer fair today and I picked up the video for the princely sum of 10p! Bargain basement! ;)

I disagree, it's Hung Kam Bo!!!! for ma and comedy

You could argue they are basically the same, Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung were school mates alongside Yuen Biao. The trio of friends moved through the ranks in MA/comedy films through the 70's, 80's.

Although I kind of agree, I actually prefer the earlier work of Sammo to Jackie, he is funnier and it is more impressive seeing a big guy do the same as Jackie Chan.

Yes, I agree as they were all members of the Chaat Su Fook (Seven Little fortunes opera troupe) along with yuen kwei, yuen mo, yuen mun, yuen bun, yuen tak plus stand ins at Yu Jim Yuen's beijing opera academy. Funny how Samo used guys like Lam Ching Ying, Hsiao Ho, Chun Faat, Meng Hoi etc in his stunt team as well from the other opera school run by Madame Fan Fok Fa.
Obviously thet were the best of the best. Have you noticed since the end of the opera school era it's now all canto popstar wirework bollocks? ( the recent Yip Man is not included ;)) Apparently Donnie Yen will be fighting Samo in the next Yip Man movie. I can't wait

I much prefer Samo to Jackie as Samo's fights are always guaranteed to be more brutal than Jackie's. An example is the end fight in Eastern Condors and the excellent end fight to Carry on Pickpocket (to name a couple).

Sorry, that's the end of the kung fu anorak talk from me

Hee hee! That make me laugh. In China, "ma-dam" it sound like very rude word!
