dawes galaxy in kent to test ride

am looking at dawes galaxy probably the al version due to availability and price and will be buying S/H but won't be tomorrow but was wondering if anybody in kent or the general south east had one i could go for i ride on with them of course! to see if i like it etc?

It would be if small local shop. Evans however are more than happy to offer test rides on provision of id and a debit card. Not sure whether they sell the galaxy though

I doubt you would be permitted to take the bike for a test run without providing some financail security, ie putting some cash on the counter first.
Would you lend your bike to a complete stranger who said he wanted to go for a test ride?

Agreed. I may have been premature in assuming Ed was chancing his arm. Apologies if I've misinterpreted the thread.

would be willing to leave valuables or a decent value with somebody including card if they wish (duct taped over though)!
and as said i would much much rather have them ride with me
i would even pay them a little for the test ride
basically hiring the bike for 10 or 20 mins

fair enough yes i could leave some money or other valuables with shop first and then return bike and say i like it but want to go away and think

an yes even if i had a particularly nice bike ie a spec or so for some valuables being left with me and me being allowed to ride with them yes i would for someone on here, maybe not a new member though they would need to have proved themselves a real cyclist first
