I have an old Dawes Synthesis with AM10 tubing.
Does anyone have any information on this type of tubing?
My guess is that AM10 is a bit better than cheap steel but inferior to 531.

Welcome @Fruithunter from memory it's from around the mid 90's and only used by Dawes or only advertised as used on Dawes.

Looks like a nice touring frame so enjoy

Thanks very much for posting that link. In that catalogue there are three versions of the Synthesis, one of which has Reynolds 653 tubing, whereas the other two have 501.

Yeah. There are other 90’s catalogues there, and iirc the Retrobike site had some. I dare say you could hunt down the AM10 Tubing version. If the head badge uses some lower case letters it will be early 90’s, all upper case letters will be later 90’s.
