thats showing your ageI used to be able to do this a fair bit when I was a Subbie ( SC60 Sub-Contractor) After finishing a project it could be a day or two before the next set of plans arrived on my bench and its the done thing to finish a shop display at least a day before the fitting teams need it, so my area of workshop floor would still be full. First time I actually spoke to the boss at lunchtime saying "there's not much point me being here doing nowt, mind if I go now and have a ride out and a beer Mark" to which he replied " yeah Nige have one for me I've got a meeting with the designers this afternoon so the next jobs probably not for a couple of days" After a while he would say to me to take a day off if I wanted the evening before. I still miss this job but not the hours (very often 12-16 hour days sometimes 7 days a week on a big fit-out)
