Well my wee one decided to bathe my laptop keyboard in rice crispies and milk  tremendous. Have to say not the first disaster on this laptop, feels like its got 9 lives  but a think its about to expire  and don`t want to use insurance again, already made two claims last year which rammed the premium up ! Looks like I`ll need to keep an eye out or just not bother.

Oh dear,

Ours survived half a can of lager - just. A nephew knocked a can over at a party a year or so back....but didn't say anything - so it was swimming in beer for a while, powered up....... Switched it off pronto and left it upside down to dry. A few keys were a bit sticky at first but it seems OK now.

think its expired  was swimming in it. Come to the conclusion that laptops are too risky with kids, going to build something small for in the TV/games room instead. Pricing stuff up just now, still got to get it past the back benchers aka The Wife.

You can pick up some cracking small base units if you aren't after gaming power. If it's going in the TV room, spec if for a media PC - big fast drive, good TV output and a fair bit of ram. You won't need the latest mega bucks graphics card.
