Lockdown has made me so bored that I have dug out my 20 year old Decathlon bike.
I can’t remember how much it cost but it wasn’t more than £300. It’s a cromo frame, reasonable quality mix of shimano and suntour components. The front suspension is the weak link, but it’s 20 years old. It was before decathlon branded their bikes as B Twin, there can’t be many of these still around.
I haven’t ridden it for over 10 years but just 90 minutes of fettling and it worked fine on a shake down ride. I might take it to the woods tomorrow to see how it copes.
