Decent replacement for Google sidebar

Now that Google have abandoned Google Sidebar I'm on the lookout for a good replacement. I've had s look around and there are plenty of bloaty adware sidebars out there but I don't want anything spammy.

I'm on XP and want a calendar, clock, system monitor and RSS feed reader.

If you want something on desktop, you might like to have a look at Rainmeter. It's probably more bloated than Google Sidebar, but has all the features you're asking for. Have a look for some nicer skins than the default. There are hundreds of them on DeviantArt.

Aha! Well as far as I'm aware, Rainmeter doesn't have a Mac version, but there is a very similar program called "GeekTools".
