Deciding which bike, Please Help!!!

Which budget bike should I buy, a Rockrider 5.2 or a Carrera Vulcan V Spec?
I have approx a pretty poor £200 budget as I am skint and from asking around a bit I have whittled it down to these 2 bikes I just don't know which is better. I ride mainly on roads for about an hour at a time but also some walkways, trails and bumpy pathways, I MUCH prefer having front suspension for the more bumpy trips so I guess either of these bikes should suffice, but which!!! The Halfords bike is on sale until the end of today so if anybody has a few mins to compare specs and I could get some quick replies that would be really great!

I'd go for the halford's one as the shifters on the other can be a bag of shite

Definitely have a look for a second hand model for that sort of money. You never know you might get a bargain off of ebay or the classifieds. The bike will be older and have some mileage but will have been a better spec from the get go.

I paid £330 for my bike a couple of months back and now regret the decision of buying new - when I could have picked up almost twice the steed off of ebay *cries hot salty tears*
