A quick warning to anyone cycling home from London via Denmark Hill. A bunch of youfs just lobbed something at me and hit me on the back of the head as I cycled past. They're at the housing estate at the corner of Denmark Hill and Sunray Avenue.

Yes, I'll probably take care around that area for a little while. I guess it's the kind of thing they'll have a bit of fun with for a while as long as they can get away with it, or until they find some other form of mischief.
I informed the police straight away, not much they can do about this specific incident, but at least they are aware that this sort of thing is going on.
I've lived in London for 7 1/2 years now, and this is only the 4th time I've been randomly attacked, and only one of those caused any injury (discounting several car-bike incidents, none of which have been serious, and which are a different category in my mind).

Well done. The only time I've ever spoken to the police about a cycling incident, they encouraged me to always report anything like that, because if they get multiple reports of problems they'll send patrols out.

Was out with a group last night and had little kids kicking their footballs at us as we passed, whilst their parents watched on smirking. Of course the parents would suddenly stop thinking it's all fun and games as soon as any of us got hit and decided to take issue with the practise, but fortunately due to their heavy drinking whilst pregnant their kids sense of coordination was dreadful and no one got hit.

Should have slowed, picked up the balls and said "Thanks!" and gone on your way.

I once had a football kicked at me, yoofs standing around laughing and calling me names. So I stopped, cycled over the to football, got off, picked it up and punted it as hard as I could off into the distance, sailing over the rooftops. Strangely, they stopped laughing and started calling me a "fakkin wankar". So I gave them a cheery wave and cycled off.

Not even the ball by the sound of it  .

Molecule Man. I remember a similar thing happening to a member of a club I have ties with (Dulwich Paragon if that's important) in pretty much the same place a couple of years ago. Though it might have been around the Inst of Psychiatry in deCrespigny Park. In this case they tried to nick his bike off him as he cycled past and whacked him with a piece of wood in the attempt.
