Yesterday my and SHMBO went for a ride on the trail round Derwent Water in Derbyshire.
I'd bought her a new bike for her birthday and it was the first time she'd managed to get out on it for more than a 20 min pootle.
Lacking a suitable "off-road" steed of my own (a sad state of affairs which will be rectified as soon as I can find something suitable and cheap) I resorted to hiring a bike from

I have to say I was most pleased with the service, and the bike. whilst by no means a top of the range beastie, did the job required; was well set up and a reasonable price.
Add to this the voucher for 50% off, for the rest of the year when I returned the bike, and an excellent lunch at the Ladybower Inn, and the day was pretty much an unqualified success.
