I'm at a different campus today so got to cycle from my door but I had to be here at 7 and had to carry all my crap with me rather than just have it in my locker. Because of problems with the at risk work I was doing I've ended up having to troll round campus so shoved a baggy T shirt & shorts over my cycling kit, plus I was freezing having seriously underestimated how cold the ride in was.

It's now 12 and I'm basically still in cycle kit hidden by normal clothes. I could shower and change for a bit, or I could just stay like this, thanks to the early start I can legitimately leave at 4 and it'll be much likelier to happen if I don't have to faff about changing, but I carried wash kit, a towel, etc with me and they'll be pointless weight if I don't use them.

It'd be an easy choice if I'd sweated my normal buckets riding in but I'm quite fresh thanks to the chill air. Oh darn these first world problems :-)

The suns come out, despite being well padded I've gone and basked in it like a lizard, I'm finally not cold and it's starting to look like the short sleeved jersey with just a compression layer (and some bib shorts, natch) will be the right choice for the ride home. Even if it was a lousy one for the ride in.
