Currently on holiday in France and have been out regularly with my wife on our bikes. I have an old but comfortable Mercurio road bike and my wife uses a large hybrid almost like a Dutch bike, with basket and panniers. We try to get out and about most days and recently managed almost 43 miles following cycle paths, roads and canal towpaths from Agde to Bezier and back. This followed a trip following the canal du midi again from Agde to Sete. We are both in our mid 60,s so feel we are doing ok. I get out more on my own at home for faster rides with more hills.
