I have some DMR V8 pedals that I want to lubricate. I had the syringe of grease that came with the pedals and tried to use that, unfortunately I was a little heavy handed and managed to squirt the contents all over the place, so now I have an empty syringe and my pedals still need to be lubricated! My question is can you recommend anything else that I could use? Also how do I get the grease into the pedal and not all over the floor?

I'd start by putting some more grease into the syringe and having another go. Within reason, grease is grease as far as bike needs are concerned, at least in my view, so no need to worry about which kind of grease exactly. (for the avoidance of doubt coppaslip anti-seize is not grease)

You might do just as well taken 'em apart rather than trying to squirt stuff in, but as I say, don't know how tricky it is on this model or whether you're advise to replace seals or whatever.

Grease gun. The poxy little syringe is unreliable as you've discovered. And a one hit wonder at best. The sbility to inject a dose of grease negates the need to disassemble the pedals. Its very time consuming and can be very difficult to get the end loading right even with the right tools. Save yourself a lot of time and effort and buy a mini grease gun. It makes regreasing pedals a two minute rather than two hour job.

Ps Did you use the right hole?

I do have a mini grease gun that I could use and I have some Finish Line Teflon grease, would that do the job? It seems a bit too thick to me. I used the only hole that I could find, a small one down by the thread!?
PS I don't suppose a drop of oil would do the job?
