2 nights ago I did a curry for 3 of us.
I was using a jar of Aldi paste (it's very good imo) so in order to pad it out I.......
1. Added a can of chopped tomatoes.
2. Added some chilli and curry powder.
WOW!!!!...:evil:hot is an understatement.
All I had to cool it down was yogurt and suger.....it need mango chutney to have any real chance.
We got it down BUT I have some left over which I have to eat. I will get some mango chutney for me ^_^.

They say a proper curry always burns twice

We grew some 'Scotch Bonnet' Chillies this year, well tell a lie we grew a plant last year that didn't do too well but we managed to 'over-winter' it in the Conservatory then potted it up and after waiting for the risk of frost to pass put it on the Patio. a few months later we potted it on again into a 9" pot and we've been rewarded with a bumper crop..................Last year 2 Chillies, this year 80-100 from a sizeable bush.

Not all of them are that hot but some are blistering so it's a bit like 'Chilli Roulete' when cooking with them.

And fart roulette later on after you've eaten it.

I'll have to get a jar of Aldi paste. I love curry, and I love it hot, hot, hot, but not sure if Aldi USA sells it.

I used to get the most excellent take out curries in the UK, but Indian restaurants here in the USA, don't seem to have a clue about curry. It tastes vinegary. Just one restaurant, here, served an excellent curry. He owned an Indian/Italian restaurant but it has now gone out of business.

I make a fairly decent Madras from scratch, with the triple whammy of chilli, black pepper and ginger. The curry isn't uber hot (I still like to taste what I'm eating), but you get three different types of "oomph" in the one curry.
