Not now. I used to for my own records of things I'd done. I never expected anyone else to read it.

I found a backup copy of it a few months ago and it was interesting to look back at the places I'd been and the projects I'd had a go at.

I think blogs are generally finished now - most bloggers I used to follow are using Instagram now. I had a running blog until about 8 years ago, which I loved. I made so many friends through it. But now it's all about Insta. I do genuinely enjoy looking back and reading it - I was actually a decent writer, I think the regular practice was really helpful.

The only 'blogging' I do now is my annual Crazy Guy journals for our summer trips.

Not really - curating a medium that serves soley as means to broadcast what you've been up to always seemed a bit self-important and self-indulgent for my tastes.

That said I do have a predisposition towards over-sharing and find myself spewing more information than necessary about my day / life onto questionably-appropriate threads on here.

Over the years I've contributed a lot of technical / gear-focussed stuff to various different forums concerned with various different interests, however this is more about the gear than myself; which I figure people will find correspondingly more interesting and seems less self-centred..

Not entirely sure. Is anassanadonkey a blog? I tend to call it my website.

I think of it sort of like a junk shop full of random: stuff that's amused, entertained, enlightened, inspired or otherwise struck me as worth saving over the years. Some of it from hereabouts - including screen-grabs of comments I've enjoyed - though pretty much none of it cycling-related. Much of it long slipped from my fast-disintegrating mind - rediscovery is a great part of the fun of doing it!

And yes, I work on it every day. Keeps me out of mischief...

When I was recovering from some "problems" I started using a site called Blipfoto
the idea is that you try to post a photo and some comments every day

doesn;t matter what the phot is of - dog, cat, kids, dinner, scenic view,
whatever

some people post pro level images
some just snaps

but I did it for over a year - then it started getting in the way of life
basically the pressure to take a photo became intrusive
when that was exactly what I was trying to avoid

but I did it for 400 days over all

I did gather a few friends that all looked out for each other's photos but a few dropped off over time

anyway - I think it is a great thing to do
as long as it is good for you and you don't post anything too personal
