My partner and i were discussing the fact that her bed socks have been under her pillow now for 2 days after wearing them for 1 night , i said they ought to go in the wash but she said its not the same as wearing a normal pair of socks during the day ?

what do we all think

I don't change mine very often, but I don't share my bed with anyone so there's no-one to complain

It's not the same IMO, feet don't sweat in bedsocks as they are not encased and getting hot in shoes, as well as tending to be looser. Mine also tend to come off at some point in the night so they aren't worn for long

That said, I don't always needs to change my socks every day in winter, my socks and shoes do not smell

Does she shower before going to bed, even so I would wash mine daily. After all if you wear pyjamas in bed you would not wear them twice, would you.

Also if people have central heating why do they have to wear bedsocks?
Because they don't want to spend lots of money heating bedrooms just so they don't have to wear bedsocks?

I have started wearing socks in bed this winter. My feet feel the cold but my body overheats if I use too much bedding and I certainly wouldn't heat a bedroom (to sleep in).

Yeah but you dont always know how much your feet are sweating, you dont want to end up with Athletes foot as that can be really bad.

I've not had athletes foot for as long as I can remember. I wear non synthetic socks, makes a big difference

I hate sleeping with the heating on, sweating in my bed isn't what I want at night, i have good double glazing, insulation, I wear pyjamas in winter and have a good duvet. But sometimes my feet are cold at least when I get in bed
