Its hard to believe Contador is SO much quicker than everyone else.... but Hopefully none of the top 10 will. Cycling doesnt need any more dopers!

If we hear of no positive tests, is this a good or a bad thing? Could it mean the testers can't keep up with the latest doping methods out there? Or could it be that they haven't caught anyone as there was no one to catch?

There will be positives. Wait a month or two and we'll have some news come out of Montreal just like it has done recently with the Giro.

The tell-tail sign is someone who comes from absolutely nowhere and performs at a level way above anything they have done before - so just one then.

There's also the people who used to be really good and suddenly they're rubbish. Yes, they could have got a virus. Or they could be recovering from injury, or have ridden too many grand tours in succession. Or their favourite pharmacist could have gone out of business...

I really, really hope all the main contenders are clean. I'm pretty confident - not absolutely confident - that at least Garmin and Saxo are; probably Columbia too.

I'd be very surprised if there are no positive test results coming out.

I know about six TdF addicts at work, and in eagerly talking Tour with them they have all said "I wonder about Contador"... I hope he is clean, but his performance is so far above everyone else that sadly, it raises the question...

Garmin do have a caught drug cheat on their team though.
So you manage to pull up one of the most vocal opponents of drug use in the peloton, yet you don't mention that the next team along - Saxo Bank - has a shady past....Basso's suspension was linked to his time at CSC and let's not forget that the team boss himself took 11 years to admit that he had doped his way to a Tour victory. They may have a rigorous testing programme now but it took a while to reach openness.

Every team has a history.
