I really don't understand why he is on the box, as of 2 mins, ago telling some cobbled together press conference he is sorry. His mrs and family are the only people who need an apology, ( something I am sure he has already done)

Maybe he is trying to claw back some favour with his now ex-sponsors or potential future sponsors. Even that seems odd.
He has more money than he could possibly spend and could quite easily make a more than comfortable living simply by playing golf and using his winnings. He doesn't need sponsorship. Well, not for money anyway. Perhaps his ilk get addicted to the fawning sycophants that go with the territory.
