When you get older and more sedate, Matthew, I can assure you that you'll still get great pleasure from slaloming in between the broken white lines. (The only thing I remember from doing my cycling proficiency was a cone slalom up the school playground.) And pinging loose stones into the gutter with the rear wheel. Oh, and going ''oooh'' over cobblestones so that your voice does a tremolo.

When I go past cars which have just overtaken me I normally go "zoooooommmmmmm". I never check if they hear me though (I do it quite loud).

Same here. I'm 44 and a quarter and I still love doing that!
