Does anyone keep parrots?

Richmond and environs is full of parrots - parakeets.

Remember seeing the same kind around the beach in Bridgeport, Connecticut, they make loads of noise!

We even have a couple (parakeets) in woodland in Peterborough.
I think i saw loads in Uruguay...squawking like the clappers in the trees in town.
