I'm lucky I've always had a good appetite but never had a weight problem but since I started cycling I can eat for England and it's the sweet stuff that I'm mostly craving. Did a 40ish mile (hilly and I thought quite tough) ride from home into the Peak today, stopped for a coffee and a toasty then when I got home opened a box of billionaires flapjacks ( gooey chocolate with caramel topping from Morrisons, they are soooo yummy) and stuffed five of them straight off!!! And I'm still hungry! I know I had quite a work out but.....................

This is starting to be a habit too.

Have noticed a lot of the threads on this forum involve food, especially cake^_^.

I think I've just got a sweet tooth which has become far worse since hitting 40.

Currently got the "poor mans shortbread" at home. Someone  had a moment of forgetfulness forgot to turn off the ring and instead produced hard toffee instead. Still you can't eat too much in one go as your jaw aches trying to chew it!

Yes! Cycling makes you sooo hungry! :hungry: :mrpig:
Sadly, to be able to cycle longer, hillier distances one should not be too chubby and ride more.
More riding means wanting more chocolate, more cake ... more weight!
It's a catch 22 situations

In cannabis smoking parlance this is known as 'The Munchies" and is part of the enjoyment of smoking/cycling just make sure to stock up on your favourite in the knowledge that it will encourage you to go further faster next time. You could even put a note on the fridge to that effect.
