Switched to the full sized folder this morning, thinking it would be more stable and came off at the first junction. Only my pride hurt. I just need to dig out that e-mail where someone recommended I commute all winter on semi-slick tyres; it would be no problem. Then i'm going to send the boys round. ;)

Then I get to work and remember my lights are still on the other bike and I won't be able to cycle home tonight...............:smile:

Doesn't seem to stop most cyclists. Put on a black jacket and ride with a can of Special Brew, it seems to bring a form of protection

Ice doesn't discriminate. I think you'd have come off no matter which bike you were on.
Anyway, how will you get home?

Walk. It's not that far.

I did get back on the bike and was taking it really easy approaching a junction when a guy on a Dahon Jack undertook me at speed with Big Apple Tyres. That's when those tyres come into their own.

I almost came off in the fish market in Bamgkok (oooer)

Didn't realise they'd switched the brakes round,so I as using the front brakes when I wanted to use the rear brake and that was on an MTB.
