Looked like a red one at the start.... [cough]
[Aside: Wonders if there's been a study into whether epileptic fits have been induced by cyclists' flashing lights... goes off to Google]

+1 about the flashy light - would drive me bonkers.

Anyroad, back to the OP - what are traffic lights?

Your flashing light would do my head in and no doubt approaching traffic as well. I hate flashing lights. I couldn't ride in London like I used to because of all the flashing lights on bikes. It must be a nightmare.

As for your ride, very restrained. There were so many things you could have ranted over like Blue Van Man who close passed you as you came over Vauxhall Bridge (who gave me a fright!) and the people carrier further on stopped in the cycle box at the lights. MattT would have chased the van down and filmed the driver and also the driver of people carrier showing them the highway code. But on the whole a lesson on how to ride in a city at night. What sti levers and group set have you got? Camera?

Have you got corresponding footage where all the traffic lights are red?
The flashing pattern isn't that bad, it's an exposure light after all, it goes full power then dips down to around half and then back up. It's also got a beam pattern shaped for the road, so the main beam does not go into the drivers eye.
For me it's annoying on dark roads, but then I put it on a steady beam.

I guess with city riding you need to know the flow, if you can try and fit into it then you can get along with everyone else. The area around vauxhall can be confusing but when you've used it enough ti does have a flow.

Using 105 levers. Camera is a GoPro hero 3 black.

I probably have footage of 2/3rds of them being red.

It gives excellent footage at night. But then I guess your route is quite well lit. It doesn't seem to get fazed by bright car headlights either. I was thinking of getting just this one.

Many thanks.

If you have a good light, Maxx d for you?, then it gets good pictures at night as well. Might not pick up number plates though.

This is a shot from a pitch black lane with just my 800 lumen strada and 300 lumen joystick lighting the way
