If you want to see some top-level DH stuff, the Halo Downhill series usually holds an event at Llansilin - just west of Oswestry. The Athertons are always there - rude not to, since they only live down the road.

There's also going to be an event in nearby Llangynog, as part of the British DH Series in July. Amazing stuff to watch.
