Dragon Sportive sold out in 22 hours

Entriies opened at midnight on the 29th december and sold out in 22 hours.Thats 4000 entries.

Is this unusual or do other sportives sell out as fast?

Last year i did the Merlin which is a similar course to the Dragon it took months to sell out only about 500 entries.

Luckilly I got up early on the 30th and did my entry online before I went to work.I bet plenty will be dissapointed.

Some of the 'big names' do sell out incredibly quickly.

It will never be a problem for porky me.
