Sometimes it's worth taking one of the handles as well as a valve to the stockist, that way you can check easily if the spline is correct if it fits the handle - beware of different lengths of the same spline though, as the handle can fit too close to the tap body and therefore not turn. There are dozens of different valves........ different spline, length of spline and whether the valve body is threaded for a cover. Far more complex than a simple rubber washer!
