The title is a tad hysterical. The scooter was not taken out. There was a mirror strike.
It's been around since March 2012. The police took no action.
Is they any point mulling over what might have been and what should have been done?

Whilst I would not advocate lying to the Police........
There is a requirement to report formally if there is an injury.
I met an elderly chap sitting in the road once as he had "hurt his knee" when clipped by a motorist doing a left hook. He did not want an ambulance and was unable to move until the Police arrived.
It also meant the full details had to be taken, statements etc.
A minor injury can be useful in these cases

This video has been shown on here before. He used to work for me when I worked near Hull about 5-6 years ago. He is an interesting character and the video episode is not out of character.
