Dumb email/Outlook question

At present, my wife and I each have our own @btinternet.com email addresses, and we also have four other "catch-all" email addresses @various URLs of websites which we ran until recently.

We use Outlook, and the whole thing was originally set up for us by a geek such that whichever email address was used (be it @btinternet.com or @one of our URLs), they all come in to one @URL address.

I now wish to "separate out" the two @btinternet.com addresses so they come in direct rather than via the @ourURL one, but I can't fathom out how to do this.

Can somebody please help me out?

log into the webmail page for btinternet.com and change the settings.

Then follow the instructions in the help section to setup outlook to check for incoming mail from those accounts.

If it's not forwarding to the other account then you will have to login to the webmail page for the collective email account and stop it reading in email from other accounts which might be more complicated

Just to clarify, you want all the email forwarded to one domain, so, say all email sent to danphoto@btinternet.com is redirected to mail@danphoto.com, or do you just want all your email to be downloaded to the one Outlook inbox?

If the latter, open Outlook, go to Tools -> Account Settings

New

Set up an account with the following:

Account type: POP3
Incoming Mail Server: mail.btinternet.com
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.btinternet.com

Username: the bit before the @ in your email address
Password: yer password

At least it is for me for my old BT Internet email address!

BTW You don't need to stay with BT to keep that email address. I left them about 8 years ago!

ahem

I now wish to "separate out" the two @btinternet.com addresses so they come in
direct rather than via the @ourURL one, but I can't fathom out how to do
this.
They want to stop everything going through that domain which might take more doing as they may be being read by the centralised email address (a function offered by google for instance)

Sorry for the delay in getting back to this chaps, but things have now got confused by uncertainty as to whether we still want to close down the active website we still have.

I need to clarify that, then clarify exactly what I need to do with the email. Once I've done that, I wouldn't be surprised if I'm back again with a very similar question, but meanwhile - many thanks!
