The nearest large Tesco to here (location withheld to avoid upsetting @Bobby Mhor ) better make sure they've got a load of flowers and cake in then. 10,000th shoplifter is probably a weekly event.

A mate of mine was the uniformed security guy in Sainsbury's on Humberstone Gate in Leicester and most times I went in there he'd follow me around the shop sneaking around and peering at me around corners until he'd built up quite an audience then creep up behind me and clap his hand on my shoulder. What the 'watchers' didn't expect was for me to turn round, greet him and for us to shake hands
They used to look so disappointed.

Eh, as a store boy in a even then fading holiday resort....
I was assigned 'keep an eye on' duties....
It was not the young 'uns who were the culprits....
the excuses? wow....
