dvd boxsets - anyone get one?

I got a 10-DVD history of the Tour de France for Christmas. I tried to start watching it the other day and discovered that my DVD player is faulty; it will not play any DVD that I own. Looks like time to upgrade to Blu-ray!

Play on the computer/laptop and rig that to the telly?

My wife bought me the 2 series of Peaky Blinders for Christmas. I had recently watched the first on Netflix and thought it was excellent, so looking forward to the second. I might even watch the first again before moving onto the second.

My desktop PC is in a different room, and is faulty too!

My laptop doesn't have an integrated DVD drive or a suitable graphics output to the TV so I think that getting a dedicated Blu-ray player is the simplest option. I'm amazed at how cheap they are now anyway.

Can't remember the last time I purchased or was bought a box set. Probably 24 was the last one years ago. It's all about Netflix now......
Totally addicted to Dexter at the minute. Watching it at stupid o clock when I got work the next day is not the best idea.

'Scrubs' - but sadly, it reminds me too much of work, barring the accents
'Dukes of Hazzard' - the original cast, not the ridiculous Jackass/Simpson movie version (whose only redeeming features were Linda Carter & Willie Nelson)
'Star Trek' - 'Next Generation', 'Enterprise', Voyager', & Deep Space 9' (but, not the original series)
'Batman: The Animated Series' the 'Dark Deco' period (with a fantastically cast Mark Hamill as The Joker, & an even better Kevin Conroy as Batman)
