Dweezil Zappa

Went to see him and his band on their 'zappa plays zappa' tour last night....Axetastic! Two and a half hours of first class comedy jazz. If they're playing near you I can honestly recommend it to any Zappa fan.

In Parts they spliced in old footage of his dad rocking out on his 6- string. Very well done and quite touching, but not soppy. A very very talented bunch of musicians, as the mothers of invention always were. Mesmerising. A guy called Guthrie Govan also came on for twenty minutes at one point and gave it the proper widdly widdly hendrix treatment. Jaw dropping.

I saw them on their first tour in Manchester a few years back... jaw droppingly awesome.

They have a DVD of that tour which is a lot of fun...
