I want to upgrade the derailer cassette chain.
At the moment it has Sram apex Derailer apex not sure if long or medium cage
brakes apex, front change rings and 10 speed cassette 11/28
And 700x 25 tyres, I want to put wider tyres as the roads here are shocking
I want to keep hold of the bike but I want upgrade it any suggestions would appreciated

Difficult to advise on upgrade, without understanding what specifically is wrong with your current group set. SRAM itself is a good make.

Regarding tyre changes, how much clearance do you have? If it's a typical road frame from more than 10 years ago, with rim brakes, you should be able to fit 28mm tyres.

Apex is good 105 level I think why change it.
By all means change the cassette to a 36 if rd allows it.

Wider tyres deffo.

If your current bike has 25mm tyres, I suspect that it has calliper brakes which probably can't take anything wider than 25mm. Is that the case?
Skip the derailer upgrade, you'll gain nothing.

I've had one of these - 26mm is probably about as wide as you will get with mudguards, 28mm without them. The specification is here - https://www.bikeradar.com/reviews/bikes/road-bikes/eastway-r3-0-review . It'll probably have a short cage derailleur.

Apart from wider tyres what is it you're actually wanting? If it's easier gears then either changing the front chainrings / crankset and/or adding a wider rear cassette plus long cage derailleur are your options.

If it's going to 11 speed then the wheelset might not be able to take more than 10 speed. You'll know by taking the cassette off and if '11 speed' is stamped on the freehub it'll take that. Any more and you'll need new wheels.

It's a 10 speed

Edited - re-read the above.

If you're planning for an 11 speed upgrade you will need a different wheelset. Or you can fit an Edco Monoblock cassette which is designed for a 10 speed freehub, but they're not cheap.

From memory the wheels were a bit heavy, so I'd add in a better wheelset if upgrading.

Yea get some rs10 or similar will make it feel better, so long as your not too heavy.
