Just tried logging on to my ebay account and I keep getting "Invalid Security Certificate" message and a warning advising me not to proceed onto my ebay account.

Has anyone else noticed this today? Was working fine yesterday.

Have you got a blue badge for your car? Or developed a severe limp overnight?

Fine for me. Have you changed anything on your computer?
No. Nothing changed. The warning seemed to relate to eBay's certificate being invalid, rather than anything I'd done.
I just tried it here at work and I can login OK. I'll try it at home later.
Cheers.

Have you used Windows system restore at some point?
No. As I say, it was working fine last night but this morning I got the warning about the certificate. Maybe just a glitch or something...

Interesting. I just checked it and it showed Jan 1st 2000. I changed it back to what it should be and it's OK now.

Has my CMOS battery gone kaput? I bet the time resets again when I next switch off my PC.

Any ideas?

Are they 'normal' flat batteries or special ones made for PCs?

Depends on the PC. PCWorld  should be able to tell you the correct one, or Google the mother board name and buy it (battery) in Maplins.
