it's a lovely bike joe, but i'm not sure that your listing is correct. you've stated that it has vertical dropouts, but are you sure?

here's a link explaining. http://www.sheldonbrown.com/gloss_dr-z.html#dropout

if they are, as i suspect, actually horizontal, then you may wish to include in the listing something along the lines of

ideal for retro fixed/fixie - it's bound to push the final bid up;)

i've no interest either way, sadly, it's too small for me:sad:

Thanks for the info hubgearfreak but after double checking the dropouts they are definitely not horizontal, most probably semi-vertical but not good enough for a fixed gear I would suspect.

Thanks anyway!

I think you are wrong Joe. I made a singlespeed bike out of an old steel Basso frame with dropouts just like that and it works fine. Surely fixed would too?

They are of the first type though i.e. vertical as opposed to horizontal or track dropouts.
Lovely frame for a geared build though!

They are classed as horizontal, none are parallel to the road.....

You can move the wheel back and forward.

That is one very nice frame.....;)
