I have two items up for sale on Ebay, some of the questions I have been asked have left me  some have left me  & a couple have left me :cursing:
I has caused to me serioulsy worry about the mentality of some folk on there.

I've just been on to answer another question - this one was actulay quite a sensible one :wahhey: And then had a peak at my watch list, couple of items finishing soon that I have my eye on...
I was left bemused by two items on my list, One is used, postage £9.99, currently at £92 with 20 bids & still 6 hours to go - Then scroll down my list to the excat same item, this one brand new from a trade seller BIN £74.98 incl free delivery!

I've seen quite a few things sell on Ebay for more than it costs new. I have no idea why.

"Buy It Now" DVD's always seem to be more expensive than other online retailers.

My karate club sells training DVDs of different kata's, showing step by step moves etc, you can buy them via your instructor & they are £15 - I have seen them on Ebay for £20 + p&p... And folk do buy them.. WHY??

I've bought loads of DVDs recently, and it's amazing how many were significantly cheaper new on Amazon than used on eBay.

I find most things can be had cheaper on Amazon than on Ebay.

A tip for anyone doing up an old sit up and beg British bike is that 26 x 1 3/8" alloy wheels can be had on Amazon for £22. On Ebay, the rims alone are £24.

A lot of people automatically think eBay = a cheaper deal. Maybe once upon a time it did, but not now. If they bothered searching ( google is your friend !) they would get a better deal. Ive had stuff bid up to silly prices, wonder how many regret it ?

I just sold a pair of to small cycle hsorts for more than i payed for them , some folk just do not know how much stuff costs

Another one bought a jerysey i had clearly listed as soiled with oil , they did not ask for extra photos and they got it for a couple of quid.I got negative feedback but wtf do they expect they just do not bother to read ......

I've been given the job once or twice to pick up something that my brother has won on ebay. as I live in the midlands and he's up in East Yorkshire. I've not seen anything I want up his way yet but I will and send him off to Beverley or Driffield for a pack of ball bearings

.

Many years ago I was showing my nephew how ebay worked. We watched some bids going on a couple of mobile phones (the same model). First was won for £200 (ish) by someone with an early bid. So we watched the other. There was a bid in for about £250 from the same person. They were not out bid in the 10 mins we watched. I can only assume they were sat praying for more bids to beat them but it never happened.
Ended up with 2 identical phones for £450 (ish) when only 1 wanted.
