Yep, that's one of the pages I had seen before. I can't see the 705 on the compatible devices tab though...
mmm ... well it is there for sure. About five or six down the list.

After a lot of consideration, I have just bit the bullet and ordered a 705 with Cadence and HRM, from Handtec. Ordered the extra cadence sensor from Amazon too. Let's hope I can set it all up ok and it works accurately with Strava :smile:
 
The 705 is faster than the 800!

I upgraded to the 800 from the 705 and just decided to play with the two together for a week.

Both on Autostart and smart recording.

Throughout the week the 705 recorded a slightly higher speed than the 800, and on review was always a few yards ahead of the 800!

Regarding your Edge 605, Garmin would normally swap it for a NoH device for around £100. That effectively gets you a new device with a warranty (6 months I think). However, since you appear to have attacked it with superglue then they may not in this instance, but something to bear in mind for the future.
