How are people getting their rides uploaded to Strava from an iOS device?

My usual method isn't supported.

Garmin or phone.
I'm having bum luck with both can you explain further?

Garmin won't directly talk to Strava. iOs won't let you store anything locally and my Wahoo fitness widget or Strava directly won't talk to the Edge.

I know nothing about phone but for Garmin try updating the Garmin Communicator on your pc/laptop.
Thanks.

There's nothing wrong with the computer at home it's just that I want to be able to upload my Edge stuff straight from my iOS device before i go home. I can do this with my Forerunner and Swim via Wahoo fitness but the Edge isn't supported.

Go to this website and once you have uploaded ur rides to garmin connect it will upload them to strava

+1 this is what I use. It even works with private activities (shared with 'connections') as long as you add one of the garmin sync accounts as a connection.

Just can't get this to work! Grrrrr

Have followed the instructions to the letter but still keep getting an activity not found on GC despite being connected to garminsync

These bike avatars are confusing me, I thought you were having a conversation with yourself.

On my iphone, the app I use (cyclemeter) has an option to send the data as a file attached to an email. I use this to upload to strava (make sure you send from the same email address you use to login to strava with). Send a gpx file attachment or a tcx file attachment to upload@strava.com. It will receive the file and process it usually within a few minutes, it will then appear on your strava feed.
