If you're looking to "make money" out of an insurance claim you're committing insurance fraud. You should be put back in the position you were in before you started. Your solicitors and your physio are working to support you in that.
If you want an idea of what insurance companies have to put up with, read up on Darren Bent's insurance claim. And remember that all of those excess costs ultimately get passed back to society in the form of increased insurance premiums.
Who said I was looking to make money?
I am pursuing a claim for compensation for personal injury however. The reason being that I CANNOT AFFORD TO PURSUE A CLAIM ONLY FOR THE REPAIR OF THE BIKE as I would have to pursue it personally. Victims of injury are forced by the industry to claim compensation as that is where the legal people make their money; therefore to claim for getting my bike back to the position (i.e a warranted, safe bike) it was in before, I have no choice but to allow myself to be taken down the personal injury claim route.
The system is designed that way, it is designed that way to ensure a profitable industry. The last time I checked, most insurance companies didn't have "Registered Charity No. xxxxxx" after their title.
So don't DARE tell me that I or anyone else injured in a collision are responsible for insurance prices going up
I have reported the collision to RJW, filled in the forms honestly and accurately, and will continue to do so - If you wish to continue to accuse me of fraud on that basis then please save the administrator of this website the hassle of me putting in a request, and provide me with your personal details.
