No longer just an irritating durrrr-durrr-durrr-durrr when you're trying to get hold of someone
I am now on my way to being a fully fledged smug married! Plus I got a pretty shiny thing out of it.

Walking weekend in the Lake District and sunsets have a lot to answer for.

You could actually walk somewhere and saw a sunset?

was mist, fog and torrential rain when I took Mrs Black Sheep up to the lakes to propose - 25 Oct 2008

Well we did get shut out of the Lakes on Friday night and local plod directed us to spend the night in a travelodge on the M6 due to the snow which wasn't the best start....
But after that it was lovely and on Sunday we walked up a massive hill, got to the top where there were gale force winds, back down again and got engaged in the lee of the wind behind a tree! But we had fun, we're happy, and those are the main things!
Oo oo ooooh, did I mention the sparkly thing?! ;-) perhaps *that* is the main thing!!!

Sounds similar to us, didn't get more than 1/3 of the way up the mountain behind Coniston village before she was too wet and cold to want to continue.

To follow this up our wedding was glorious sunshine despite it supposed to be horid weather, which started just as we arrived at the airport to go on honeymoon.

A year later and we went to Lands End, got a lovely photo of us with the signpost with nothing but fog behind us!

Congrats, sod the weather, enjoy yourselves!

Congratulations!

Early on in our relationship I checked with Arch that we were on the same page regarding our relationship being long term, permanent, and heading towards marriage. She said it was.
Later on in our relationship she proposed.

Perfect start....... she was just training you get used to doing as you're told from day one NT.
Not like me, I'm the boss in my house - and I have Mrs Kes permission to say so

NT first mentioned marriage to me while walking through a moonlit forest in Germany.

I asked him in his kitchen in Manchester.

Oh, the romance...;)
