Well, yes. A horrible thought to consider, would a team use a lesser rider to test a new delivery or masking method- to perfect it for someone else on the team. The hand written "confession" could be from anywhere.

No way is this rider "lesser", he has been one of the stronger domestiques and a decent climber for a long while. Now he is caught, and nicely absolved his team of any resonsibility. At least he has put his hands up, no pathetic excuses which seem to be the norm from certain people who have been found out.

Yes my previous post is rather fanciful, it seems naive to believe this confession at face value though - given the history of many within the team (including doc and director) as well as this being their 3rd case...

Correction accepted, a domestique in many races and a lead out man for some, and sometimes a protected sprinter. A decent rider but not a top level sprinter by any measure. Silly chap, though, and now it's two years off.
