I'm looking to give my battered mish-mash of a fixie some love and the Espresso chaps seem to have what I'm after. Decent looking wheels, crankset and brakes is the current plan.

Anyone have any experience of them? The prices are rather attractive.

The wheels are as heavy as all hell! Just the rear wheel weighs as much as my road wheelset (not talking expensive wheels here either).

Yeah, I did think that they were a bit on the weighty side. I'm not overly fussed though as they'd be going on a heavy as hell frame in any case!

I had a look over on LFGSS and the thread there seemed to be a weird sales pitch followed by a descent into name-calling.

Think I'll keep looking. The roads aren't sh!te enough that I want to stick my decent commuter away.

Any recommendations on wheels around a similar price?
