I'm pondering a little bit of touring in March with a trip from Calais to IJmuiden (based on ferries mainly).
Does anyone have any experience of Calais->Saint-Omer->Lille->Brussels on EV5? How is it? My main priorities would be avoiding busy roads and paths that will turn into a mud bath if it rains.
I'm pretty comfortable with how things are north of Brussels and I'm aware Dunkirk to Brussels is easier, but I've done that stretch before.
