Evans Cycles - Big Mistake

No, this is not an Evans bashing thread and I'm not trying to start one.

I just made the mistake of wandering in to the Bristol centre store and seeing lots of shiny bikes and gear and I wanted all of it. Saw some tosser buying a brand new beautiful Trek road-bike with Bontrager rims. He was a tosser for no other reason than I wished it was mine!

Bikes and gear, lovely, just not enough cash to buy them.

I make sure that when I go into my LBS lunchtimes for a bit of window shippoing, I make sure the wallet stays behind in the office.

I always leave my credit card at home when visiting the lbs, I only take cash for what I need. Believe me, it's the safest way.

Even though you know you're not going to come home with a new bike, you always start eyeing up stuff like pedals, gloves etc, the little things that before you know it cause you to spend £50 on accessories.

You could try out each one in the show room every lunch time until you had tried them all... then go back and try all the favourites a second time That should keep you going for a while.

great idea! there were some nice Felt bikes in there. Never really considered them before but they seem pretty good.

Well it would be cheaper than using the hourbike scheme and you would get to ride nicer bikes.
