Just wanted to kick things off with a hello
The only bike I've owned in the past 20 years is a shonky old Peugoet 'mountain bike' which has recently been replaced with a brand new Trek hybrid. Used to enjoy the very occasional blast around local woods.
I've decided that to get fit I will cycle (can't stand running) and hence my new purchase. I couldn't believe how excited I was collecting the new bike. The last time I felt like that I was about 14 and buying a new Raleigh Milk Race
from my then LBS with money saved from a paper round
Completed a ~6 mile ride on the day I got the bike, now have a computer and have completed a 10 mile route a few days ago and today a 12.66 mile ride (both in an hour). Bikes have come a long way it seems and I've so far been impressed.
Its a start and I'll ride when I can. The 15 mile commute each way to the office is a long way off
Anyway thought I'd say hi.
