Close enough to touch? Looks like it to me and that he's nipped into the kerb to avoid her.

Nah, he's just pootling and probably hasn't even noticed her, never mind take any avoiding action. Not a perfect overtake given the width of the lane, but it doesn't look that close really.

Didn't do a good job of blurring her plates though.

There's tons of space - move forward and back a couple of positions and you'll see.

In fact, go back down the road and you can see her position relative to the cyclist a few seconds before - he's still the same distance from the kerb and she's nowhere near.

looks fine to me too, its a trick of the camera maybe. look at the rear wheel of the car, that will give you a better idea of distance from the front of the bike wheel

I was half asleep when I posted that.

Still when I clicked further up the road it shows some odd picture joining. Knowing that road well it isnt that wide until you get towards the hotel. They are meant to blur the plates too.

Funny thing is I've done over just 30 down this road and still been overtaken as its downhill most of the way

Wonder what lens they use on that thing...?

Could be better cold be worse. If the cyclist was to stop dead and fall over he probably would make contact with the car, but only just. If I posted every overtake like that I'd never get any work done....

Have to agree, he didn't seem to mind. Maybe could have been better, but I'm not sure I'd complain at it
