Hi
I've decided somewhat rashly to do the EE on 17/18th August. I've done one imperial century ride which was fairly flat. I'll take my sweet time and I'm sure I'll finish Ok, and thoroughly enjoy the breakfast at the end!
I'm keen to hear from the experienced riders what to carry. It's overnight and there's a fair old chance it will rain heavily. I don't want to lug too much around so thinking carefully about it. However, getting wet and cold and stuck somewhere overnight sounds like something to be prepared for.
I have a Carradale rack top bag in which will go;
Altura waterproof trousers.
Altura Night Vision EVO jacket
Foods (flapjack and jelly babies)
Spare batteries for lights
2 spare tubes (tools go in undersaddle bag along with spare master chain links etc)
I'll wear short sleeved Merino base layer and cycling top. If I get hot I'll ditch the base.
Is it worth thinking about overshoes for example? I wouldn't bother but just thinking about it being overnight.
